Yes those are acorns and leaves!  I have hated them since I set eyes on them more than three years ago now.  I did promise Troy that I'd paint one up for old times sake!

Demoing those babies was a real joy. 

New Project

Now that the kichen is done, we need a summer project.  We decided to screen in our back porch.  We like to sit on the porch in the evening and discuss our day but the bugs get to us - well to me.  So off to Home Depot for supplies and inspiration.

Okay so we are back from Home Depot and the porch is taking shape.  Here is my design plan.

Chair, fan and paint are purchased plus most of the wood and screening.   I still have some problems to solve but I think all in all it was a successful trip!
